How to stay compliant with policy as an independent

December 9, 2016 Dorothy Mead

Making the decision to go independent is a bold one. It can come with concerns about staying compliant and understanding your stakeholder responsibilities. We want to help you ensure that you understand all of the key policies that will affect you as an independent consultant.

The best place to find this information is on the Policy Page of the Independent Professionals Association (IPSE) website. Here you'll find helpful summaries on things like taxation, pensions, maternity pay and the IR35 policy.

We recently hosted a broadcast on the changes to the IR35 policy, in this we spoke to IPSE's Deputy Director of Policy, Andrew Chamberlain. He offered explanations and advice on the policy that shouldn't be missed. You can watch the recording of the broadcast here.
